About

"I listen, speak, write, perform, imagine, curate, edit, coach, fight, communicate..."

Ilka Theurich exhibits and performs in various countries and contexts. She operates as an artist, coach, curator, and educator in a variety of projects, including large-scale events, intimate performances, publications, and workshops. Her diverse portfolio includes site-specific installations, video/sound installations, performances, drawings, and participatory projects in public spaces.

Theurich's artistic exploration delves into the performative dynamics of space, horizontal democracy, critical spatial practice, and spatial politics. She aims to leverage her social-poetical-performance practice as a methodology within the realm of critical spatial practice.

Her performance-based art research explores themes such as the auditory landscapes of diminishing forests and their implications for sustainable methodologies, the erosion of democracy due to narcissism, and the dynamics of urban cohabitation and its potential reconfigurations.

Since December 2017, Ilka Theurich has seamlessly integrated her research methodologies from Performance Studies into her coaching practice. Utilizing a diverse toolkit, she offers expert support and guidance to individuals navigating the complexities of clarification, development, and change processes. Her primary aim is to effectively and sustainably address coaching concerns.
