The international Artists-in-Residence program was established in 2007 and is the largest studio program in Central Europe. MeetFactory facilitates ten studios, which annually host over thirty visual artists, curators, musicians, theater directors, and writers. We foster the involvement of our artists in residence not only within the programming of MeetFactory (Open Studios, Public House, Museum Night, etc.) and its three exhibition spaces (exhibitions, performances, guided tours), but also in the context of the Czech and Central European art scenes.

MeetFactory is collaborating with Studio ALTA for this residency.

Das internationale Artists-in-Residence-Programm wurde 2007 ins Leben gerufen und ist das größte Studioprogramm in Mitteleuropa. MeetFactory ermöglicht die Nutzung von eigenen Künstler*innen- Studios, die jährlich über dreißig bildende Künstler*innen, Kurator*innen, Musiker*innen, Theaterregisseure und Autor*innen beherbergen. Daneben fördert die MeetFactory die Einbindung der Artists in Residence nicht nur in die Programmgestaltung der MeetFactory (Offene Ateliers, Public House, Museumsnacht etc.) und in ihre drei Ausstellungsräume (Ausstellungen, Performances, Führungen), sondern auch in der Vernetzung mit der tschechischen und mitteleuropäischen Kunstszenen.

MeetFactory kooperiert im Rahmen dieser Residenz mit dem Studio ALTA.

Studio Performance Art (SPA) is dispatching its second PerformanceBus on a one-day trip to the North of Bohemia and back. Our stops will once again be cultural institutions, community and residency centers, as well as random locations along the way that will become sites of our curiosity and performative interventions.

The PerformanceBus reflects our effort to decentralize the attention directed towards the diverse platforms, institutions and individual activities dedicated to performance art in different parts of the country. At the same time, this journey wants to be a certain gesture, an encouragement to greater networking and cooperation between individual actors. The PerformanceBus can thus be perceived as a magical portal, as a sightseeing tour or as an epic journey.

The program will include a visit to the exhibition, a performance, a lecture and screening in the bus and other surprises. The detailed programme will be announced in a few days.
